 The timeline for application processing, approval, and site work takes approximately 8-14 weeks. To ensure transparency and manage expectations, we have included a step-by-step overview. This timeline is an estimate, and may vary depending on application volume, funding cycles, permitting delays, or weather-related factors.

Applicants complete and submit the RHS Solutions application for well and/or septic assistance. All required documentation must be included for the application to be considered complete.

Timeline: 2–3 weeks
RHS staff will review the submitted application for completeness and eligibility. This includes verifying income documentation, homeownership status, and property conditions. Applicants will be contacted if additional information is needed.

Timeline: Within 1 week of review completion
Once the application is verified and approved internally, RHS will submit it for funding consideration to our funding partner (e.g., USDA or other applicable funding entity).

Applications are reviewed by the Funding Oversight Board, which determines grant approval and award amount. RHS will notify the applicant once a decision has been made.

Once funding is approved, RHS will coordinate with local health departments or permitting authorities to pull any required well or septic permits.
